Ruth Robertson

The Queen Bee'd

I see beauty all around me. Creating is an emotional outlet that gives me
direction in my work. The majority of my pieces are original designs.
I hope that people will recognize the emotion I was trying to project as I
created the piece. I am inspired by nature and the events of my life.

Ruth, a Texas native, was born and raised in Fort Worth and has lived in
Arlington since 1967. She is the mother of four, a grandmother of eight and a
great grandmother of four. She lives in close proximity of her children and enjoys
numerous family gatherings resulting from her large family. After working for
more than 30 years, she retired and is now pursuing her creative goals.

My mission is to create jewelry that the consumer enjoys wearing as much as
I enjoy creating it.

Awards

Five of my pieces were entered into the 2006 Southwest Ceramic Association Show in the professional division in Dallas, Texas.  All Five placed with two Blue First Place Ribbons, two Red Second Place Ribbons, and one Yellow Third Place Ribbons.
